The 2021 session of the Training in Neurotherapeutics Discovery and Development for Academic Scientists Course will be held February 8-12, 2021. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, the course will be held virtually instead of in-person. The course runs in advance of the ASENT Annual Meeting and is funded by NIH.
Designed to be applicable to diverse diseases of the nervous system, this intensive 4½ -day training program will equip students with a broad understanding of the various component steps in the neurotherapeutics drug discovery and development process. The course combines didactic lectures with engagement activities in which the students will be challenged to apply the lecture material to work through their own drug discovery project plan with the guidance of the faculty.
This course is designed for advanced post-doctoral researchers and faculty members who are engaged, or would like to become engaged, in neurotherapeutics discovery and development. Individuals from racial and ethnic groups underrepresented in biomedical research, individuals with disabilities and women are particularly encouraged to apply.
Please see the course website for complete eligibility requirements.
The deadline to apply is November 16, 2020. There are no tuition or registration fees.
